Seventy percent of the keywords searched were engine-related, specifically marine engine manufacturers. The top-searched marine engines were Yamaha and Mercury, with 28 percent and 24 percent of the top 10 keyword searches, respectively. This data directly corresponds with Boat Trader's Consumer Survey results, where 55 percent of boaters selected Yamaha and Mercury as their preferred engines. Other top engines included Evinrude, MerCruiser and Honda.
