During the past 12 months, millions of visitors to Boat Trader have seen new and used-boat listings, and the most popular class was consistently center consoles.

Total views of center console listings more than doubled between the fall of 2015 and the spring and summer of this year. On a percentage basis, cruisers, saltwater fishing boats and motoryachts showed slightly less seasonal variation in the number of times they were viewed; bowriders, pontoon boats and ski/wakeboard boats showed much more. Interest peaked in half of the top classes in the second quarter, and it peaked in the other half in the third quarter. The difference in listings views by quarter is exaggerated slightly in this report because overall traffic to Boat Trader has grown year over year. For example, listings views grew by 16 percent from the third quarter of 2015 to the third quarter of this year.
