Dealer sentiment rose in December. Did that continue in January?

A new survey is asking marine dealers to weigh in on January market conditions and forecast business conditions for 2020.

The monthly Pulse Report survey asks dealers to predict whether 2020 will see double- or single-digit growth over 2019, remain flat, or decline single to double digits.

Th Pulse Report was launched by the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas and Baird Research in 2013. Soundings Trade Only later partnered with Baird to help distribute the survey and report its results.

The survey analyzes such industry data points as new-boat demand, inventory levels and access to credit. It includes the Marine Retail Sentiment Index, a confidence index for retailers.
