Tampa Boat Show returns in September
The 44th annual Tampa Boat Show will be held Sept. 11-13 at the Tampa Convention Center.
The show will feature hundreds of boats on land and in-water, as well as the latest marine accessories.
New additions to this year's show include the Affordability Pavilion showcasing boats that consumers can finance for $250 or less per month, and pre-show shopping at www.tam paboatshow.com that allows show-goers to plan ahead and search boats by brand or model and schedule dealer appointments.
Cannell, Payne & Page under new ownership
Yachting Solutions of Rockport, Maine, acquired Cannell, Payne & Page, a Camden, Maine, brokerage firm.
Since its founding nearly 30 years ago, Cannell, Payne & Page has grown to become the oldest firm in the country specializing in classic and wooden yachts while also having sold everything from antique dinghies to modern megayachts.
Yachting Solutions restores, repairs and maintains all types of yachts. Current projects include restoring an 80-foot classic commuter yacht and a Trumpy motoryacht. The firm also provides crew management and yacht services and is a dealer for Hunt powerboats.
Constellation Software buys IDS from Brunswick
Canadian-based Constellation Software, through its wholly owned subsidiary Constellation Homebuilders Systems, acquired the shares of Integrated Dealer Systems from Brunswick Corp.
"Brunswick's IDS software division is the proven market leader of software to the RV and marine dealership verticals in North America," said Dexter Salna, president of CHS, in a statement. "IDS will join Constellation Automotive Systems, in CHS's newly formed Dealership Management segment."
Daniel Zinman, general manager of CHS's Dealer Management group, says the acquisition "helps extend our footprint into two adjacent markets where we can apply our proven best practices."
New site launched for yacht charters
YachtWorld.com recently launched a single, global marketplace for the yacht charter industry and individual yacht charterers.
