What Will the Biggest Challenge Be in 2021?

Inventory was a huge concern in September.

Inventory was a huge concern in September.

Marine retailers are being asked to weigh in on October market conditions in a new survey, and look ahead to what they see as the largest challenge ahead in the year to come.

The five-question survey was launched by the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas and Baird Research in 2013 to take gauge retail conditions on a monthly basis. Soundings Trade Only partnered with Baird to help distribute the survey and report the results.

The survey also analyzes such data points as new-boat demand, inventory levels and access to credit. In addition, it includes the Marine Retail Sentiment Index, a confidence index for dealers.
