The American Boat Builders & Repairers Association's Summer Symposium is scheduled for Aug. 2-3 at the Hilton Mystic in Mystic, Conn.

"Based on what we learned at our highly successful inaugural event last year, the ABBRA Summer Symposium promises to be a great chance for the marine service industry and affiliated partners to benefit from the purpose-driven content and networking opportunities available at this gathering," ABBRA president Doug Domenie says in a statement.

The two-day symposium includes panel seminars from industry leaders, attendee-led roundtable discussions on current issues, and a keynote presentation. Registrants may also participate in a field trip to two area boatyards to see regional best practices firsthand.

Online management tools for marina operators

Marina Reservation Services is launching a set of online tools to help marina operators manage their business, reservations and online marketing.

"We saw a tremendous need for a simple yet powerful, easy-to-use and cost-effective online technology solution for marina business owners to really leverage the power of the Internet to improve revenue performance," says Cam Collins, president of Marina Reservation Services and Exuma Technologies, in a statement.

"By creating a new company that combines the knowledge, systems and expertise of the three companies - Exuma Technologies, Marinas.com and Leisure Interactive - we can now deliver a variety of premiere online software solutions to help marina owners grow their business," he says.
