The Maryland-based Bay Bridge Marina named Rich Lauser acting property manager of the marina and its full-service yacht yard.

The company said Lauser, who is replacing Brian Bjers, has spent 32 years in the marina service industry and 17 as the property manager of Bay Bridge’s sister marina, Skipjack Cove, on the Sassafras River in Georgetown, Md.

Lauser also evaluated operations and infrastructure at Bay Bridge Marina, which is on Chesapeake Bay on Kent Island, during the 2005 purchase of the marina and has spent time there as interim manager.

“I’m very happy to be back at Bay Bridge,” Lauser said in a statement. “I am excited for this new challenge and eager to work with the fantastic team here at the marina. I am also fortunate to already know many of our longtime slip holders and commercial tenants, and anticipate a smooth transition as we all look forward to a great boating season ahead.”
