South Carolina Marine Association executive director Suzi DuRant said Bellingham Marine signed on as the presenting sponsor of the trade group’s 2012 Education Conference and Annual Meeting.

The meeting will take place Dec. 13 at the Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms, just north of Charleston, the association said.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Are You Ready ...?”, covering legislative and regulatory compliance issues that include boating infrastructure grants, fuel tax audits, OSHA inspections, tax changes, environmental implications and political repercussions. The conference will be followed by SCMA’s annual meeting and holiday party.

“Bellingham works with many of our members, so we are very gratified that they are supporting those clients’ trade association,” DuRant said in a statement.

“As a longstanding SCMA member, Bellingham is very excited to be associated with the 2012 conference,” Andrew Gibbs, product development manager for Bellingham in Jacksonville, Fla., said in a statement.

The SCMA is the trade association representing the recreational marine industry and individual boaters in South Carolina.

Bellingham Marine is a marina design-build construction company that produces Unifloat concrete floating dock systems and timber and metal frame systems.
