Brewer Yacht Yard Group announced it acquired Hawthorne Cove Marina in Salem, Mass.

Brewer Hawthorne Cove Marina joins the company's 21 other full-service marina and boatyard locations between New York and Maine.

"We are thrilled to be taking over this wonderful operation," said Jack Brewer, president of Brewer Yacht Yard Group, in a statement. "This allows us to fill what has been a rather large hole in our footprint between Brewer Plymouth (Mass.) Marina and Brewer South Freeport (Maine) Marine. This is a well-run marina with great potential, and we are excited about the opportunity it presents."

Brewer Hawthorne Cove Marina is a 110-slip marina with 270 moorings in Salem's historic district. In addition to slip and mooring operations, the yard stores about 150 boats in the winter and will provide a full range of services.
