Seacoast Enterprises Associates, which already owns and operates three marinas in East Hampton on the south shore of New York's Long Island, announced that it added a fourth.

Harbor, Gardiner’s and Halsey’s marinas, all on Three Mile Harbor, are already in the Seacoast fold — and now so is the recently purchased Three Mile Harbor Boatyard at the head of the harbor. The marina has 70 slips and a boatlift with a 40-ton capacity capable of hauling 65-foot boats.

Seacoast vice president Peter Mendelman told the East Hampton Star that his company, which has owned Harbor Marina since 1976, intends to remain a good neighbor.

“Improving the facilities takes the most effort. We have to be careful about what’s done. We have a good relationship with the town and trustees built over the last decade,” Mendelman said. “But, no matter how good it is, to make major improvements could be two or three years away. In the meantime we plan to spruce things up as best as we can.”
