Hornet Marine, a new builder of fully customizable 17-foot powerboats, named Nelem's Marine in Jasper, Ala., as the first dealer to represent the brand.
Nelem's Marine will include Hornet Marine's 17-foot sport runabout in its booth at next month's Birmingham Boat Show in Birmingham, Ala.

Grande Yachts was named an authorized Marquis Yachts dealer serving the Chesapeake Bay region. Grande Yachts will represent Marquis in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania.
"We are proud to begin this long-term partnership with Grande Yachts in an important market for the Marquis brand," said Erik Nelson, vice president of Marquis Yachts, in a statement. "This is an extremely dedicated organization committed to providing extraordinary service to their customers."
Grande Yachts will be receiving its first Marquis yacht, a 420 Sport Bridge, in March, in time for the Bay Bridge Boat Show, which begins April 28.

Regulator Marine said its 2010 Regulator Marine University, held Dec. 6-7 at its Edenton, N.C., plant, was a success.
Dealer principals and salespeople across Regulator's network attended this annual event. Created in 2000, the university equips domestic and international sales staff with valuable selling tools and product knowledge. This year's university featured guest speakers Thom Dammrich, president of the National Marine Manufacturers Association, and Valerie Ziebron, owner of VRZ Consulting. Yamaha's Jonathon Burns also updated attendees on the latest marketing trends.
Dealer awards were presented at the event, including 2010 Dealer of the Year, Oyster Harbors Marine of Osterville, Mass.; and Salesperson of the Year, Bob Scott, also of Oyster Harbors Marine.
"After a decade of hosting the annual Regulator Marine University, enthusiasm for our quality standards and the innovation in design across our product lines has never been greater," company president Joan Maxwell said in a statement. "All attendees were excited about our 2011 model-year offerings, and especially the recent addition to our line, the all-new 28 FS."

Viking Sport Cruisers named Spring Brook Marina its authorized representative for sales and service of Princess yachts in the western Great Lakes region, including Illinois and Indiana.
This addition expands the coverage in the Great Lakes for Princess yachts customers between two authorized dealers. Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales is the representative for the eastern Great Lakes region in Michigan and Ohio.
Located on the Illinois River, Spring Brook's facility is within a short drive of Chicago. Its marina facilities include 210 in-water slips and dry-storage buildings.

Cobalt Boat Co. recently completed two successful "Cobalt Camps" at its headquarters in Neodesha, Kan.
More than 200 dealer participants from across the United States, Canada and other international locations came out for the event.
"It is a wonderful compliment to have dealers from all over the world make the trip to Neodesha," CEO Paxson St. Clair said in a statement. "This year we welcomed not only a huge percentage of our domestic dealers, but were pleased to have 11 dealers from Europe, Australia and Chile. The dealers found it well worth their time and effort to visit our production plant and see our quality firsthand."
Cobalt also announced the recipients of the 2010 model year dealer awards.
The world's largest Cobalt dealer, the No. 1 spot in the Top Ten Dealer awards and the Western Region CSI Award went to Arrowhead Boat Sales & Yacht Club, Ketchum, Okla.
Cobalt recognized more than 50 percent of its dealers in the 2010 model year for excellent CSI scores. The 2010 Most Improved CSI Award was presented to Winnipeg Watersports Ltd., of Winnipeg, Manitoba. The top CSI honoree for the Eastern sales region was also the Worldwide CSI Award winner - Strong's Marine, Mattituck, N.Y.

Shakespeare Electronic Products Group welcomes Fellecs-Tech and ASA Boot Electro to its family of distributors. Fellecs-Tech covers Germany and Austria. ASA Boot Electro covers the Netherlands.

Bassett Marine announced it was named a Brunswick Master Certified Dealer.
"To achieve certification we must meet or exceed Brunswick's top standards at comprehensive inspections every year or we change our operations until we do," the Sea Ray dealership said in a notice posted on its website.
Bassett Marine has locations in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

The 2010 Marvair Marine President's Award was presented to Eberca B.v. for outstanding sales and service performance this year.
Paul Mechler, president of Marvair, presented the award to Eberca general manager Robert Andeweg last month.
"Our distributors are the key to the success of Marvair Marine and no distributor has been more responsible for the success of Marvair Maine than Eberca," Mechler said in a statement. "Their efforts have been instrumental in the substantial growth in sales for Marvair Marine in 2010. Robert and all the people at Eberca should be extremely proud of what they accomplished this year."
Marvair, a division of Airxcel Inc., is an ISO 9001 2008 certified company and a diversified manufacturer of heating, ventilation and air conditioning products for marine applications, telecommunication enclosures, school classrooms and commercial modular structures.

Walker Bay Boats signed a dealer agreement with Seattle-based Maritime's Marine Centers to sell Genesis Deluxe and Generation Luxury RIBs in Washington and Oregon.
Maritime Marine's three locations will offer increased product availability and service for consumers in the Pacific Northwest.
"Maritime offers exceptional service due to their team of highly qualified salespeople and technicians," said Chris Carroll, vice president of sales for Walker Bay, in a statement. "We believe that they both complement our values and are a great fit for promoting the Walker Bay brand along the U.S. West Coast."
Maritime Marine Center will be displaying the new 2011 Walker Bay product line at the upcoming Seattle Boat Show.
