Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from Galati Yacht Sales, Campion Marine and W.D. Schock Corp.

Galati Yacht Sales is expanding into the Great Lakes region with the opening next month of its first sales office in Michigan.

Galati's Great Lakes office will be in Holland at the new Yacht Basin Marina Plaza and will be headed by industry veteran Brian Dekkinga, a member of Galati's management team.

The location will focus on brokerage and new Maritimo Yacht sales.

"It's become very clear to us that there is a strong link between the Gulf Coast and the Great Lakes region, with many of our customers having dual residences.  Our goal is to provide our north/south boaters with a 'one source' option for all of their yacht sales and brokerage needs," president Joe Galati said in a statement.

Galati is a yacht sales and service company with locations in Anna Maria, Tampa, Naples, Cape Coral and Destin, Fla., as well as Orange Beach, Ala., Houston, and now Holland.

Campion Marine, of Kelowna, British Columbia, added three new Ontario dealerships.

Payne Marine, on the eastern shore of Georgian Bay in Pointe au Baril, Huntsville Marine in Hunstville, and The Performance Shed, just north of Kingston in Harrowsmith, recently took on the Campion brand.

"We are always excited to add quality dealers to the Campion family," Campion general manager Brock Elliott said in a statement. "We are looking forward to strong and long-lasting relationships. Our goal, day in and day out, is to delight our dealers with our quality boats, support and service."

Boatbuilder W.D. Schock Corp. said longtime Schock dealer Brad Kauffman of Chesapeake Performance Yacht Sales joined with Annapolis Yacht Sales.

"Brad and Garth [Hichens, owner of Annapolis Yacht Sales] are able to complement the high build quality of our boats with superior customer service and knowledge," W.D. Schock president Alexander Vucelic said in a statement.

"I am impressed with their dedication to the long-term satisfaction of their customers," he added. "There is good reason Annapolis Yacht Sales has been voted national dealer of the year eight times."
