Tilly's Marine Inc. was selected as the authorized dealership in Southern California for Chaparral Boats sales and service.

Tilly's Marine is in a 40,000-square-foot facility in Ventura. There are plans to open another location soon in Orange County.

Expanding its worldwide network of distributors, Sea-Fire signed I-Gen Resources to provide sales and service for customers in Malaysia.
"I-Gen will help us better reach customers in their region of the world," Sea-Fire president Ernie Ellis said. "We look forward to a long business relationship and we're confident they'll help us expand even further into Malaysia and surrounding areas."
I-Gen Resources has secured distribution rights for fire protection products. The company also has established a network spanning peninsular and east Malaysia, covering Sabah and Sarawak, and made inroads into Indonesia and Brunei.

Tiara Yachts announced Grande Yachts International as its newest dealer.
Grande is just outside Annapolis and will serve Delaware, Maryland and Virginia.

Aluminum boat builder Smoker Craft announced a dealer/manufacturer relationship with fellow Indiana company SkipperBud's.
SkipperBud's is a family-owned and operated business that has served boaters for more than 40 years. It has 20 locations across the Midwest and offers boat sales, mechanical and fiberglass repairs and parts and accessories sales, along with boat storage and seasonal drystack, at many of its locations.
SkipperBud's also has full-service marinas on the Great Lakes and inland waterways. The company features Smoker Craft Family and Starcraft brands at key stores in Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan.
"The combination of Smoker Craft boat brands with SkipperBud's creates an opportunity to broaden our joint visibility in the retail sector and provides an expanded support system to our existing customers," said Mike Burns, regional sales director for Smoker Craft, in a statement.

Summerville, S.C.-based Scout Boats recently added four more national and international dealers.
They are Beacon Point Marine (two locations: Cos Cob and Shelton, Conn.); Cypress Cove (Slidell, La.); Neken Marine Pty Ltd. (Mona Vale, Australia); and Whitmore Marine (West Point, Va.).
Scout has signed 24 new dealers during the last year.
"This new expansion to our already successful dealer network will provide convenience for current and future customers, as well as new markets for our company to strengthen our brand," said Alan Lang, national/international sales manager for Scout Boats.

Bavaria Yachtbau GmbH in Germany appointed Bavaria Yachts USA as the sole U.S. importer, distributor and dealer for Bavaria yachts on the East Coast and across to the Great Lakes and Texas.
The new company will launch the Bavaria Yachts brand in the United States in May with all-new Cruiser models designed by Farr Yacht Design and BMW DesignworksUSA, as well as the spacious Vision series.
Founded by a new management team with a new business model, Bavaria Yachts USA will focus solely on the direct sales and after-sales support of Bavaria yachts. The company's flagship office and a range of the newly designed Cruiser models are based in Annapolis, Md.
"With many new developments at Bavaria in Germany, we are very pleased that a new era for Bavaria yachts has begun in the U.S. market, too," CEO Jens Ludmann said in a statement.
"We strongly support the new management team and their new business model that will connect customers directly with the shipyard here in Germany. This, combined with the superbly designed and engineered Cruiser range, means that we are very proudly re-entering the U.S. market," he added.

Maine's Yarmouth Boat Yard was designated a Gold Flagship Dealer by Pursuit Boats, the dealership announced.
"This achievement is meaningful to us because Pursuit Boats has very high standards," Yarmouth Boat Yard owner Steve Arnold said in a statement.
"The recognition is validation that our hard work and focus on customer service has been well received," he added. "We're proud to share the recognition with our customers, friends and co-workers."
To qualify, dealers must meet high standards in sales, marketing and service, as well as be Marine Industry Dealership Certified.
