Dealers and Distributors

Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from Springfield Marine, Ocean Signal and Pirelli Pzero Boats .

Springfield Marine named Maritim Distributors as the full-line distributor of Missouri-based Springfield's seating and seating hardware in Finland.

The deal was finalized during the 2011 Shanghai Boat Show in April.

Maritim, of Helsinki, will celebrate its centennial next year. The company serves more than 450 chandleries and it exports to the surrounding area, including Russia and the Baltic states.

"Maritim is a great addition to our global distribution network and we are pleased to have such an experienced and respected distributor servicing the Finland market on our team," Springfield Marine co-owner Caroline Carnahan said.

Springfield operates a new 350,000-square-foot manufacturing facility near Shanghai and will supply directly from the factory to keep Maritim's costs competitive.

Denison Yacht Sales, of Fort Lauderdale, was named the U.S. distributor of Pirelli Pzero Boats, a new generation of tenders ranging in size from 30 to 46 feet and priced from $90,000 to more than $600,000.

Co-owner Bob Denison is encouraged by strong interest in the new inflatable tenders.

"The Pirelli Pzero line of boats is distinct from all other tender products out there," he said. "These very special boats carry Mediterranean flash and style with a great layout, surprisingly fast speeds and the highest-quality appointments the industry has to offer."

Denison has three Pirelli Pzeros under construction and has delivered one to a client in Corsica: a metallic gray 1400 Yacht Edition with Bravo 3 Axius drives. Four more deals are in the works.
