Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from the Irish Boat Shop, Absolute Marine, Mankiewicz Gebr. & Co. and Alexseal Yacht Coatings, and Formula X2.

Michigan’s Irish Boat Shop was awarded Certified Brunswick Master Dealer status from Brunswick Corp.

“We are very proud to have earned the Brunswick Master Dealer status,” dealership president Michael Esposito said in a statement. “We have a long history of serving our customers’ passion for boating by consistently exceeding expectations. Qualifying for Brunswick’s leading dealer certification program confirms our ongoing commitment to serve our customers at the highest level. The Brunswick Dealer Certification program requires dealers to meet comprehensive requirements that are based on the latest best dealer practices from Brunswick and its leading marine dealers nationwide. The program also includes industry requirements and the Marine Five Star Dealer Certification sponsored by both the National Marine Manufacturers Association and the Marine Retailers Association of America.

New Zealand’s Absolute Marine signed an agreement with electronics group Navico to distribute the Northstar Explorer series.

"We have a long association with Absolute Marine and they have played an integral part in the development of the Navman brand within New Zealand. We are pleased to have them on board with Northstar. It’s a great product, and the Explorer series has been well received in all our offshore markets,” said Doug Anderson, director of sales and marketing of Navico’s Asia Pacific division, in a statement.

Mankiewicz Gebr. & Co. and Alexseal Yacht Coatings added France's Sogeric to its global product distribution network.

Sogeric serves the pleasure and commercial marine industries. Through its facility in Marseille and a fleet of teams on the ground, Sogeric serves marine coatings needs for vessels along the Spanish and Italian borders, Provence, the coast of Corsica, Languedoc-Roussillon and beyond.

Coatings veteran Lauris Appel has joined the sales and technical support team to support the growth of Alexseal in the Dutch market, the company also announced.

Appel's coatings experience began in the automotive refinishing market. He transitioned to a career in the marine coatings industry for a Dutch wholesaler.

Formula X2 added six distributors to its network.

They are: LTB Distributing.;; F-1 Enterprises Inc.; Franktol Group; Waterloo Motors Inc.; and Collins Outdoor Recreational Equipment

Formula X2 offers protection for engines from water accumulation and ethanol damage.
