Parks Marina, in Okoboji, Iowa, and Sioux Falls, S.D., was named the top Crownline dealer for the third consecutive year, the dealership announced.

“For being a small town in Iowa, the fact that we are able to compete with much larger boat markets, such as those in Dallas, Atlanta, and New York, is outstanding,” owner Butch Parks said in a statement. “I am so proud of our team and their hard work this year.”

Parks Marina was established in 1983 when Parks purchased what was then Gibson Sporting Goods. The Sioux Falls store is in its 12th year of operation.

“Formula X2 is rapidly growing and positioning itself as the best and only fuel additive in the industry that really works,” the company said in a statement. “This is one of the reasons why we appointed Yacht Distributors as our new distributor. U.K.-based Ocean Safety, an independent marine safety equipment supplier, moved to strengthen the company’s presence in the U.S. market by appointing Revere Supply Co. to act as distributor for Ocean Safety’s leisure range of life rafts, life jackets, Jonbuoys and AquaSpec lights.

“The appointment of Revere Supply is an extremely significant step for Ocean Safety in order to increase the distribution and offer vital service backup on Ocean Safety’s safety products throughout the United States marketplace,” Ocean Safety sales director Mark Hart said in a statement.

“This is not just an appointment, but a partnership,” he added. “Ocean Safety will, in turn, be representing Revere, distributing their own products throughout Europe, including their Aero and Compact life rafts, their E-Gear range of safety and survival accessories, including the new Revere See-Me LED rescue lights.”

Sea-Alliance Group, the management company at Karpaz Gate Marina, part of the all-new Karpaz Bay Resort in northern Cyprus, secured an arrangement with Jeanneau in which it will broker sales of the yachts.

The French-owned boatbuilder, part of the Beneteau Group, is the first international brand to confirm its involvement with Sea-Alliance Group and Karpaz Gate Marina.

Sea-Alliance Group is due to open a new sales office and service center on the site within the next few months within the marina buildings positioned to the east of the 300-berth marina, alongside the dry dock and refit and repair facilities.

“Sea-Alliance Group and Karpaz Gate Marina provided us with a great opportunity to support our strategic growth in the eastern Mediterranean,” Jeanneau general manager Jean Paul Chapeleau said in a statement. “The high quality of the facilities, marina and the resort as a whole means that we were delighted to be represented there.”

Two new countries are seeing WindRider trimaran sailboats arrive on their shores.

A container is en route to Australia and is expected to land during the last week of October. Kerrawarra Enterprises, of Queensland, is receiving and distributing this shipment of presold WindRiders.

Santiago, Chile-based Motor-Rent Maquinarias Y Motores Ltda. is introducing Chilean sailors to the brand.

“Export markets are going to be very important for the growth we seek,” company president Dean Sanberg said in a statement. “The relatively low dollar, compared to other currencies, combined with the U.S. government’s support of export-related manufacturing, make this an ideal time to expand.”

WindRider builds and distributes three models of trimaran sailboats.
