Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from Westerbeke, Centurion Boats, McMichael Yacht Brokers and Mist-er Comfort.

Westerbeke announced the expansion of territory for master distributor R.B. Grove Inc.

R.B. Grove was awarded the state of Texas and is now responsible for Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and the Bahamas.

R.B. Grove became the Westerbeke master distributor for Florida in late 1989 with one location in Miami. In 2007 it added Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi to its Westerbeke portfolio and opened a second location in Pensacola, Fla.

Centurion Boats announced that M&M WaterSports, of Springville, Utah, is returning as a Centurion certified dealer.

For more than 20 years, M&M was a leading Centurion dealership, responsible for selling as many as 75 boats a year. Changes in the economy and other outside influences caused a separation, Centurion said.

“Our southwest rep, Brian Allred, has remained in contact with M&M since their departure, keeping our relationship solid. We are pleased to have Troy and Mitch Mann and their incredible staff back in our family of dealers,” Centurion vice president of sales Bryan Holland said in a statement.

Troy Mann, of M&M WaterSports, added, “We are positioned well to provide Centurion owners with sales, support and service for all Centurion boats, regardless of where they were purchased. We’re looking forward to a much better season.”

McMichael Yacht Brokers, of Mamaroneck, N.Y., is partnering with Willis Marine of Huntington, N.Y., to offer new J/Boats to Long Island boaters.

“Buying a J/Boat means getting the highest level of service before, during and after the purchase,” Howard McMichael, of McMichael Yacht Brokers, said in a statement. “It takes a knowledgeable staff and a full-service, in-house boatyard to provide that service, and Willis Marine is the perfect fit. Our partnership will ensure that J/Boat buyers on Long Island receive the level of support that McMichael is known for.”

Jeffrey Willis, president of Willis Marine Center, added, "We're very excited to team up with McMichael and J/Boats. Both of our companies are family-owned and span two generations, and we have been doing business together for many years as brokers. As a J/44 owner I'm excited to start working with Long Island buyers on the great models currently available from J/Boats.”

Marine misting systems manufacturer Mist-er-Comfort chose Marvind Sales Ltd. to represent the company’s product line in Canada.

Based in Belle, Ontario, the Marvind Sales team has more than 30 years of experience in marine equipment sales and customer support.

Mist-er-Comfort misting systems can lower cockpit temperatures as much as 25 degrees on the hottest days and can be installed easily on Biminis, T-tops or hardtops on any size boat.
