Dealers and Distributors

Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from Marvair and the Parker Racor Division.

Marvair announced that Baker Distributing Co. was selected as the exclusive distributor for aftermarket sales for Marvair Marine.

The Baker Marine Products Group was formed to sell to marine dealers. Marvair will continue to sell directly to boatbuilders.

Bob Williamson, vice president of the marine products group, was selected to head the marine group.

“Several branches of Baker Distributing have been selling Marvair Marine’s equipment for use in large commercial vessels,” he said in a statement. “We were impressed by their customer focus and quality of their products. We then realized there is a significant opportunity in the pleasure boat market. After looking at all of our options we found that Marvair was a leader in both commercial and pleasure boats, and so it was a natural decision to partner and grow with them.”

Marvair Marine products will now be stocked in sales centers in 14 states, from Virginia down through Florida and Texas and over to California,” Shaun Hall, Marvair Marine’s national sales manager, said in a statement. “This provides us with unparalleled access to marine dealers in these states.”
