Dealers and Distributors

Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from C. Sherman Johnson Co. Inc. and Campion Marine.

C. Sherman Johnson Co. Inc. of East Haddam, Conn., was named sole U.S. distributor for the Italian made Garelli line of roller swaging machines.

Garelli's SM1, SM2 and SM3 swagers feature all die sizes stacked vertically and ready to swage with no die handling. These machines swage forward and backward allowing a swage to be done in about 30 seconds, cutting down on swaging time and labor.

C. Sherman Johnson Co. has been a leader in stainless rigging hardware since 1958, providing the marine and architectural industries with a full line of turnbuckles and wire rope fittings.

Campion Marine Inc. of Kelowna, British Columbia, will hold a dealer conference on Aug. 30-31 to introduce the company's 2010 model-year boats and to celebrate its 36th year of boatbuilding.

Campion has added a new line of wake and surf tow boats, branded as Svfara, to its lineup of Chase high-performance boats, Explorer sport utility boats and Allante runabouts and cruiser.

"We have much to share with our dealers and prospective new dealers," general manager Brock Elliott said in a statement. "Times have been tough, but we have not sat idle. Because of our financial strength and cautious approach to doing business and a focused commitment to quality for so many years, we have been able to take advantage of some of the fallout from our competitors."

He noted that the company has expanded its dealer base both domestically and from around the globe during the last year.

Campion also reports having sourced a new floorplan financier and is eager to have its dealers from the United States and overseas come to meet with this export lender.

The dealer conference will be held at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort in Kelowna.
