Dealers and Distributors

Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from the Lauderdale Marina and South Jersey Marina, which is holding a "clearance sale" in September.

The Lauderdale Marina was named the exclusive Pursuit dealer for Florida's Broward, North Dade and southern Palm Beach counties.

"Pursuit's decision to add the Lauderdale Marina fits our strategy to have large dealer territories with waterfront facilities capable of handling our complete line of boats and provide the level of service our current clients expect," vice president of sales and marketing George Hetzel said in a statement.

Pursuit Boats is a division of Holland, Mich.-based S2 Yachts.

South Jersey Marina, in Cape May, N.J., will host the first Boat Dealers Fall Clearance Sale, set for Sept. 17-20.

The clearance sale will be an end-of-the-season opportunity extended to regional dealers to liquidate their inventories of new and select brokerage boats. Most, if not all, boats will be offered for sale at dealer's cost or below. For those boats that do not sell during the show, a special auction can be conducted Sunday, the last day of the show, organizers say.

The marketing team that produced the Strictly Jersey Boat Show will produce and promote the Boat Dealers Fall Clearance Sale.
