Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from Grady-White, Grand Banks, Sea Ray, Centek Industries, Paradox Marine, Vicem Yachts, McMurdo Ltd., Nexus Marine and West Marine.

Grady-White Boats in southeastern North Carolina appointed Atlantic Marine of Wrightsville Beach, N.C., as its sole representative.

Atlantic Marine provides service at two locations, one at the Intracoastal Waterway in Wrightsville Beach and the second at the company's facility on Greenville Avenue in Wilmington, N.C. It is a 33-year-old family owned-and-operated marine dealership that also represents Regulator, Jones Brother and Edgewater boats and Yamaha outboard engines.

"The first quarter of 2010 looks promising for more growth in recreational boating around Wrightsville Beach and Wilmington," said David Floyd, president of Atlantic Marine.

Grand Banks Yachts added two new authorized dealers in the Southeast.

Galati Yacht Sales will manage sales along the Gulf region from Alabama down through the west coast of Florida, while HMY Yacht Sales will represent Grand Banks on Florida's east coast.

"We're extremely pleased to be working with two of the top sales groups in this industry," Grand Banks president and CEO Rob Livingston said in a statement. "Both Galati and HMY bring tremendous expertise, integrity and customer commitment to their work. Grand Banks owners and buyers can expect nothing but the best from these organizations."

HMY and Galati Yacht Sales will join Grand Banks Yachts this week at the 2010 Yacht and Brokerage Show in Miami. Attendees can find Grand Banks at its new display along the 5000 block of Collins Avenue in Miami Beach.

Galati Yacht Sales will manage sales of Grand Banks Yachts through its Florida offices in Naples, Cape Harbour, Anna Maria Island, Tampa Bay, and Destin, plus Orange Beach, Ala. On the east coast of Florida, HMY will represent Grand Banks at its locations in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, North Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Stuart and Jacksonville.

Sea Ray Boats added 10 new dealers to its network.

"It remains our mission to provide the best sales, service and ownership experience in the marine market. We're proud to have aligned with these dealerships because of their proven commitment to the same standards," said Rob Parmentier, president of Sea Ray, in a statement. "By continuing to add premier dealerships to our team, we are ensuring that our customers get the first-class treatment that completes the Sea Ray experience."

Sun Country Marine will represent Sea Ray as a full-line dealer serving the greater Los Angeles area, while Brothers Boats will represent Sea Ray in northern California from its store locations in Sacramento and Folsom. Also in California, Hipp Marine will carry Sea Ray in the San Diego area.

Island Lake Marine & Sports signed on to represent Sea Ray in the Denver and Fort Collins, Colo., markets. Sea Ray will be represented in Utah by Petersen Marine, based out of its two locations in Draper and Riverdale.

Sea Ray will expand its presence in the Des Moines, Iowa, area with the addition of Brightwell's Boathouse.

Beacon Marine will represent Sea Ray in Kansas, while Stokley's Marine is a new central Kentucky dealer. Clark Marine Sales will serve boaters in middle Tennessee.

Finally, Saba Marine, dba Sea Ray of Vermont, agreed to represent Sea Ray from its store location in Colchester.

Centek Industries appointed Martec International to distribute the company's marine environmental products in Sweden and Scandinavia.

Headquartered in Stockholm, Martec International has supplied boatbuilders, boatyards and dealers with marine engine systems and related products since 1976.

Centek environmental products include the BilgeKleen filtration system to prevent the overboard discharge of oil and fuel. Specially designed to fit a wide range of vessels, the BilgeKleen filter system automatically removes oil, gas, diesel fuel and other hydrocarbon pollutants from bilge water before it is discharged overboard.

Paradox Marine appointed Demon Alert Ltd to distribute its products in the United Kingdom.

From its headquarters in Addlestone, Surrey, Demon Alert will provide sales, service and technical support in the UK for Paradox Marine's full range of security systems for boats, yachts and commercial vessels.

Paradox Marine products include the Magellan Insight GPS DVR, Nav-Tracker 2.0 and Inferno Acoustic Deterrents Boat Security Systems.

Vicem Yachts added several new brokers.

Gary Smith and Jason Mashke from Sarasota Yacht & Ship in Sarasota Fla., represent the west coast of Florida; Noelle Semmes from American Global Yacht Group, represents three mid-Atlantic states from its Maryland locations in Grasonville and Ocean City; and Russ Forkert from Yacht Works in Sister Bay, Wis., represents the Lake Michigan region.

"Our team is growing very quickly," said Dirk Boehmer, president of Vicem Yachts, in a statement. "We believe there is a significant, untapped U.S. market for Vicem yachts and we are further developing a qualified group of professionals to represent us in new markets."

McMurdo Ltd. appointed Revere Supply Co. as the exclusive distributor of McMurdo Ltd's range of Kannad Marine emergency distress beacons and safety equipment in North and South America.

Revere will actively distribute the full range of Kannad Marine products, which include a number of new ones that will be launched at the 2010 Miami International Boat Show.

"We are very pleased to have appointed Revere to distribute our Kannad Marine brand in the Americas," McMurdo CEO Jeremy Harrison said in a statement. "As a distributor, Revere has a proven track record in survival equipment sales and service, along with a dynamic regional network of retail outlets and support expertise."

Nexus Marine announced that Ocean Equipment will distribute it product line in North America.

"We are really excited to welcome Rob Walsh and his team at Ocean Equipment. Their industry distribution channel and insight into brand building will be an asset to the Nexus product line," managing director Richard Macalister said in a statement. "With their guidance and experience, we're expecting to make a significant impact on the North American market."

Sweden-based Nexus Marine is a leading manufacturer of navigation instrumentation for racing and cruising yachts.

West Marine will now be distributing Mastervolt products nationally.

Mastervolt, one of the leading suppliers of electrical power products for the marine industry since 1991, will have its power chargers stocked in 188 West Marine stores across the country, and another 35 items will be stocked in West Marine distribution centers that will be available for purchase through the catalog, Web site and on the wholesale level, through Port Supply.

"We are enthusiastic about this partnership between West Marine and Mastervolt," said Michele Goldsmith, director of sales for Mastervolt. "Both companies have a clear vision and commitment to the marine industry and continue to offer innovative products that push the limits of technology while keeping a conscious eye on the environment."
