Dealers and Distributors

Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from Shogren Performance Marine and Chesapeake Soda Clean.

Waukegan, Ill-based Shogren Performance Marine announced its service department received the Mercury Marine Customer Satisfaction Index Award for its "ongoing commitment to providing exemplary customer service."

The award is based on Shogren Performance Marine customers who have had warranty work performed by the dealership during 2009. Dealers must maintain a score of 90 or better out of 100 in the three categories for a rolling 12-month period.

"We are extremely proud of this recognition because it comes from our customers," Scott Shogren said in a statement. "Every member of Team Shogren takes great pride in treating our customers fairly, honestly and with the highest level of integrity - and our service department is second to none."

Shogren Performance Marine is among 91 of the 3,600 Mercury Marine dealers in the U.S. and Canada recognized with the Service CSI ranking.

Chesapeake Soda Clean was appointed a national distributor for Bad Dust Containment Systems.

A modular technology, Bad Dust Containment curtains provide a clean, easy-to-use and environmentally sound method that affords a weather-proof controlled environment for the repair and maintenance of boat bottoms and containment of debris.

Chesapeake Soda Clean demonstrates the product at its shop in Millersville, Md.

"When we moved into our new facility last November, we recognized the importance of providing hands-on training for the emerging technologies in soda blasting," said Stacey Stone, CSC's owner and general contractor, in a statement. "We remain the only hands-on training facility of our kind in the U.S. As we look at new supporting products available to the refinement of soda blasting as a preferred method of bottom stripping, the ability to educate both contractors and owners is critical."
