Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from Caframo, Island Packet Yachts, Cruisers Yachts, Regulator Marine, Dr. Shrink, Chaparral and Robalo Boats, and Malo Yachts.

Caframo of Ontario, Canada, a leading manufacturer of marine fans, cabin heaters and accessories, appointed new distributors to boatbuilders and marine dealers in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Hungary.

In mainland China, Caframo products will be distributed by Genuine Marine. Storm Force Marine is the new Caframo distributor in Hong Kong. Marintech Marketing and Maritime Hajosbolt will distribute Caframo products in Singapore and Hungary, respectively.

Caframo products are original equipment on leading boat brands and available at marine retailers worldwide.

Island Packet Yachts added Häfele Yacht Center of Germany to its growing international distributor network.

Based in Waldeck, but with a northern location in Hamburg, Häfele will be introducing the Island Packet Yacht range, beginning with displays at Hanseboot 2010 at Hamburg in November and Boot 2011 in Dusseldorf in January.

"With this addition, Island Packet will have a great representative centrally located within Europe's strongest economic country. German sailors appreciate well-engineered and -built products and have long regarded the Island Packet brand as well suited for both the Baltic Sea and the Med," Island Packet international sales representative Stephen Cutsforth said in a statement.

Cruisers Yachts will hold a dealer meeting Sept. 12-13 at its facility in Oconto, Wis., the company said.

The meeting will feature the debut of the 2011 Cruisers Yachts 48 Cantius Sports Coupe, unveil the new company showroom and discuss plans for the coming year.

"There is no doubt the boating industry has recently taken a hit, but Cruisers Yachts has been fortunate in 2010 with the reinstatement of 200 employees, as well as fulfilling orders that have expanded growth in overseas markets," said Russ Davis, director of marketing at Cruisers Yachts, in a statement. "For Cruisers Yachts, the year ahead presents tremendous business opportunities with the launch of the 48 Cantius and introduction of other models within the sports coupe series."

The dealer meeting will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony to introduce the company's new showroom, which will be used as a resource for Cruisers Yachts' dealer family; strengthening the personal connection between boaters and their vessels.

A VIP program gives dealers the opportunity to bring potential Cruisers Yachts owners to Oconto to tour the factory and showroom and acquire a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship that goes into every yacht.

Regulator Marine introduced two new boat models at its 21st annual Regulator Dealer meeting, which was held at the Regulator factory in Edenton, N.C. Regulator's co-founders, Joan and Owen Maxwell, unveiled a new Regulator 28 FS and an advantage-price package of the popular Regulator 23 FS.

"We wanted to reward our dealers, who have shown amazing loyalty through a challenging couple of years, with two surprising additions to the Regulator lineup," Joan Maxwell said in a statement. "We are so excited to introduce a brand-new 28-foot FS model that continues the venerable line of hard-core offshore sportfishing machines and a new advantage-priced package of our highly sought-after Regulator 23 FS model."

After the unveiling, dealers were invited to put both models through sea trials.

"We have worked hard to keep these two new models under wraps, especially the Regulator 28 FS," Joan Maxwell said. "We wanted to give our dealers something to celebrate and I am so pleased that we were able to pull it off."

Regulator Marine also announced that Starling Marine in Morehead City, N.C., is its newest dealer. Starling Marine will feature the complete 23- to 34-foot line of Regulator offshore sportfishing boats.

"Starling Marine is very excited about the opportunity to represent Regulator Marine on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina," Starling Marine general manager Bill Rixey said in a statement. "Regulator's reputation for quality, long-lasting value and legendary performance is among the very best in the business and is a perfect fit for Starling Marine."

Dr. Shrink is working with Shrinkforce to distribute its product in the New Zealand and South Pacific markets, the company announced.

Based in Auckland, Shrinkforce Shrink Wrap Services supplies premium shrink wrap and offers installations for the marine and construction industries.

"Shrinkforce is committed to the highest-quality materials and customer service," Dr. Shrink president Mike Stenberg said in a statement. "They've done great work on marine and construction jobs. Shrinkforce really is one of the best shrink-wrapping companies in the world, and we're extremely happy to be working exclusively with them in New Zealand."

Chaparral and Robalo Boats hosted its 2011 worldwide dealer conference Aug. 16-18 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Fla.

More than 400 dealers, vendor-partners and employees attended the three-day event, which was highlighted by the introduction of the company's new 330 Signature, 246 SSi, and 327 SSX.

"We were very pleased with the results and the upbeat attitudes of all attendees," president Jim Lane said in a statement. "Our theme, 'Leading By Design,' accented the four cornerstones of our company: financial strength, innovative new products, service and worldwide distribution."

In addition to the new product introduction, the conference was highlighted by featured speaker Dan Henson, president and CEO of GE Capital, Americas.

Malö Yachts NA named Crusader Yacht Sales as its North American East Coast sales agent. Discovery Yachts in Seattle will continue to be the West Coast agent.

Crusader Yacht Sales is in Annapolis, Md., and has been in business since 1982.
