Our weekly roundup of dealers and distributors includes news from Hydra-Sports Boats, Bluewater Yacht Sales, Encore Boat Builders, TUI Marine, Marquis Yachts, Northport Systems and LaserPerformance.

Hydra-Sports Boats added 3A Marine Service of Hingham, Mass., to its dealer network.

"We are very pleased to partner with such a respected and long-standing dealership as 3A," Scott Crutchfield, Hydra-Sports' chief sales and marketing officer, said in a statement. "3A's decision to partner with Hydra-Sports is a big boost to our credibility in the Northeast. They were quick to recognize our vision in regard to product development and knew our reputation for quality on the MasterCraft side of our business."

3A Marine Service's president and CEO is Ed Lofgren, chairman of the Marine Retailers Association of America.

"We have developed a loyal clientele that expects excellence in design and functionality in everything we sell and service," Lofgren said in a statement. "Hydra-Sports Boats have always had a great reputation for ride and seaworthiness."

Bluewater Yacht Sales completed the relocation of its Maryland sales and service offices to Harrison's on "the Narrows" in Grasonville, Md., the company reported.

"The new place is in a traditional boatyard, which will allow us the opportunity to provide our customary full service in our Maryland location. Bluewater and Harrison's are teaming up to renovate the facility to world-class standards of sales and service," vice president of sales Jud Black said in a statement.

Bluewater Yacht Sales is the Mid-Atlantic dealer for Viking Yachts, Princess and Regulator boats. It operates from four locations in Maryland, Virginia, and the Outer Banks and Wrightsville Beach in North Carolina.

Encore Boat Builders, located in Lexington, S.C., and Mexico, Mo., recently held its second annual dealer meeting.

The 2011 dealer meeting outperformed last year's meeting; attendance was up 100 percent and confirmed sales orders written during the show were up 50 percent, the company said in a statement.

"The Bentley Encore and Elite Encore models were totally revamped with a fresh new look. You could see the acceptance of our new models with the expression of smiles on our dealers' faces when they entered the showroom at the dealer meeting. We will continue to be innovative and bring to our dealers a quality product with the best competitive pricing in the marketplace," national sales manager Tedd Moore said in a statement.

TUI Marine is the exclusive North American distributor of a new powerboat - the Greenline 33 Hybrid - built by Slovenian builder Seaway.

Annapolis Yacht Sales was appointed as the first dealer and it will showcase the Greenline 33 Hybrid Oct. 14-17 at the United States Power Boat show in its North American debut in Annapolis.

"We constantly monitor developments across the marine industry, with a particularly strong interest in environmentally friendly products. With the recent launch of our own hybrid-electric LeBoat 1500 cruiser, TUI Marine is dedicated to developing vessels and partnering with builders to meet the needs of consumers as well as protect the Earth," TUI Marine president Lex Raas said in a statement.

"With Seaway's cutting-edge model making its way to the U.S., we're confident it will experience continued success and further raise awareness and demand for all eco-friendly boats," Raas added.

The Greenline 33 Hybrid is capable of collecting, storing and using power from the sun. With a 1.3-kW solar roof and the hybrid drive, the Greenline 33 Hybrid is a mobile power station that provides a constant supply of electric power onboard, the company said.

Marquis Yachts named Ventures Ltd., of Malta, as an authorized dealer servicing the central regions of the Mediterranean Sea.

"We are thrilled that Ventures Ltd. will be representing Marquis Yachts throughout the central ports of the Mediterranean," company vice president Erik Nelson said in a statement. "This is a geographic area that is populated with beautiful yacht centers frequented by yachting enthusiasts that recognize and appreciate ultra-premium brands like Marquis."

Ventures Ltd. received its first Marquis yacht, a 420 Sport Coupe, in time to feature the yacht during Malta's Valletta Boat Show, which ran Sept. 23-26.

Software manufacturer Northport Systems entered an exclusive agreement with Avia Design Group to distribute its Avia Sail and Avia Motor line of software instrumentation products for NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 networks.

"We are proud to be sole distributor of Avia Sail's pioneering sailing instrument software," Robin Martel, president of Northport Systems, said in a statement.

"A set of physical marine instruments with similar capabilities could cost thousands of dollars. We believe this simple-to-use, affordable and versatile marine software is the future of marine electronics, and with easy updates boaters are assured they have the latest enhancements," Martel added.

LaserPerformance added Dinghy Locker @ Landfall in Stamford, Conn., to its list of Platinum Dealers in North America.

The Dinghy Locker serves the LaserPerformance customer base in southwest Connecticut, Long Island Sound and southern New York, stocking the entire LaserPerformance product offering.
