Florida marina will host nautical expo this weekend

Regatta Pointe Marina will hold the 2014 Nautical Expo this weekend on Saturday and Sunday at its location in Palmetto, Fla.

Free seminars include “Cruising: Florida Coast to the Caribbean Sea” on Saturday at 2 p.m.; and “Anchoring: From A to Z” on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Half-hour-long youth fishing sessions from Florida Fishing Charters will be held Saturday and Sunday at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.

The show will feature more than 50 power and sailboats between 14 and 54 feet in the water; Freedom Boat Club powerboat rides and sign-up incentives; Catalina in-water new-boat review and demos of 31- to 38-foot boats; and a nautical market featuring local groups and businesses.
