Freedom Boat Club owner honored by Florida college

Freedom Boat Club franchise owner Lisa Almeida received Flagler College’s Professional Achievement Award for 2015.

Freedom Boat Club franchise owner Lisa Almeida received Flagler College’s Professional Achievement Award for 2015 during the recent Alumni Weekend.

Almeida was recognized for “her efforts in changing careers, pursuing a lifelong passion and rescuing a struggling boat business.”

“I am very humbled to receive this special recognition from my alma mater,” Almeida said in a statement. “Flagler College provided me with a great education and foundation for my career and will always hold a very special place in my heart.”

Prior to owning and operating Freedom Boat Club franchises in Saint Augustine and Jacksonville, Florida, Almeida was a sales executive with BellSouth.

Almeida is appointed to Freedom Boat Club’s national marketing advisory council and serves on the Recreational Boating and Leadership Council’s new markets task force.
