IGY marina set to host Mexican boat show

The Cabo Marine Show V will take place Thursday through Saturday at the IGY Marina Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.

“We are pleased to see that our boat show has been taking a constant and natural evolution from the traditional exhibitors on floor to a more pronounced in-water display of both new and used vessels — which is the purpose of any boat show, departing from the usual convention center format to an in-water exhibit more similar to boat shows of international stature,” Oscar Avalos, director of Mexico City-based MAA+Eventos Meetings and Conventions, said in a statement.

In its fifth year, the show’s floor exhibitors include VanDutch Latin America, Pisces Group Cabo Yachts and Brokerage Division, Parker Racor, Village Marine Tec. and Donaldson, Brunswick and Mercury Marine, Marine Group Boat Works, JWI Marine La Paz, Bisbee’s Black & Blue Tournaments, Fonmar / Sepesca, Otaduy Yachts New Construction and Brokerage, Security Now Mexico, Cabo Flyboard, Maui Jim Sunglasses and several last-minute inclusions.

In-water and boat exhibitors include United Yacht Sales, Emerald Pacific Yachts, Hallmark Yachts Inc., Picante Sportfishing, La Paz Yachts, Pisces Group Cabo’s exclusive in-water showcase, Otaduy Yachts New Construction and Brokerage and other privately owned vessels on sale.

“It’s important to note that unlike other shows of this kind, Cabo Marine Show offers secondhand vessels at very affordable prices for both the local and visiting customer,” Cabo Marine Show organizer and founder Sergio Igartua said.

“The sale, charter or boat rental available for the vacationer and deep-sea sportfishing enthusiast is ever more present at this year’s show. For this reason and more, we like to say that the Cabo Marine Show is more than a boat show, and not just about the suppliers and brands, but also about the services available to all in this great international tourism destination that is Los Cabos.”
