Island Global Yachting adds new division

Island Global Yachting created a new division to expand its marina management role beyond its current brand structure and to offer its services to other marina owners.

The new marina management division offers a variety of services for marina owners, including operations, marketing, accounting, insurance, design and engineering.

“With our new marina management division, we are able to open the availability of IGY’s expertise and to assist any owner in realizing their marina’s potential,” said Jeff Boyd, executive vice president of marina operations for IGY, in a statement.

“We are also able to now assist lenders and private equity firms to manage distressed assets which they may have acquired during these recent economic challenges within the capital markets,” Boyd added.

Fort Lauderdale-based IGY
says it is pursuing third-party contracts to manage marinas and/or provide professional services and consultations to nautical property owners and land holders.
