JMP Marine reports 2017 sales increase

JMP Marine, a manufacturer of seawater pumps, strainers and flexible impellers, said sales rose by a record 30 percent last year as it celebrated its 40th anniversary.

“Expanding product offerings in North America was a strategy that provided a very strong return,” Frederick Leidecker, JMP operations manager, said in a statement.

“The JMP brand has a reputation for quality and reliability, and we can now serve an even wider customer base.”

The company said the results are attributable, in part, to significant growth in replacement pump sales. JMP said it invested heavily in expanding the recreational and commercial marine products and parts it makes in its ISO 9001-certified factory.

JMP offers products for Catepillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, Kohler, Mitsubishi, Volvo Penta, Yanmar and other engine companies.
