The Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management recently named Port Harbor Marine as one of the 40 best places to work in the state.

All of the companies will be recognized at an awards banquet in October, and at that time they will find out how they ranked on the list.

The 2011 Best Places to Work in Maine program recognizes companies that have established and consistently fostered an outstanding workplace environment, according to the council.

Port Harbor Marine has five locations in the state. Its flagship marina at Spring Point in South Portland is Maine’s largest full-service marina. It has more than 250 slips and can accommodate yachts as large as 200 feet, according to the company.
