Marine flea market scheduled in Florida

The Florida Marine Flea Market and Seafood Fest will be held Sept. 16-18 at the South Florida Fair Grounds in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Organizers of the event announced the availability of sponsorship packages. Sponsorship includes items that range from online, print, radio, TV and direct festival exposure leading up to, during and after the event.

“In today's economy, the Marine Flea Market will provide an outlet for the marine industry and private individuals to sell overstocked, new and used marine equipment at a fraction of the original retail cost,” organizers said in a statement. “Many boaters, fishermen and divers will find valuable items for their maritime lifestyle at bargain prices and the best value for their dollar.”

More than 100 boat repossessions, short sales, dealer trades, and private liquidations will be up for sale. The auction boat preview is all day Sept. 17 and the sale starts at 11 a.m. Sept. 18.

As many as 10,000 boat enthusiasts have attended past editions of the three-day event.
