MarineMax has named Sam Lowrey as the company’s vice president of real estate and Philip Davison as the North Central Florida operations manager.

Lowrey joined MarineMax more than 14 years ago after several years with BoatUS, where he oversaw its real estate operations among other duties.

During his career with MarineMax, Lowrey has taken an increasing role, overseeing real estate initiatives, including lease negotiations and structure as well as purchasing strategies. Most recently he led the efforts to acquire Bay Pointe Marina in the Boston area.

“This will be an exciting new challenge, and I look forward to expanding upon my past experience to move MarineMax forward,” said Lowrey in a statement.

“Over the years, I have learned so much from my previous experiences,” said Davidson in a statement. “I look forward to sharing this and continuing to learn from those around me.”

As a 14-year-old, Davidson started his career in a large powersports dealership, working his way up from parts gopher to general manager after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business management from Northwood University.

During the same time, he started an amateur Jet Ski racing career that culminated as a top 10 globally ranked professional. Davidson then went on to work for a major recreational products manufacturer in network distribution and development.
