Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day returns on Saturday.

Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day will take place Saturday and more than 100 marinas nationwide will participate in an effort to attract new people to recreational boating.

Events that include youth fishing clinics, live entertainment, food, on-water events and raffles will take place at marinas across the country.

Illinois-based SkipperBud’s will hold events and will have special incentives for first-time boat buyers at its Sequoit Harbor location.

"Now, more than ever, Americans need outdoor, safe, family-friendly ways to spend their leisure time,” marina manager Mark Ellerbrock said in a statement. “Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day introduces boating as just such an activity and reminds our existing customers and our community that SkipperBud’s Sequoit Harbor is a local, environmentally friendly, beautiful gateway to on-the-water fun."

Sun Harbor Marina will offer powerboat and sailboat rides and stand-up paddleboard demonstrations and trials at its San Diego location.

More than 20 marinas in Florida will hold events ranging from cookouts and offshore fishing tournaments to vessel safety inspections and guided boat tours.

Welcome to the Water on National Marina Day is produced by the Association of Marina Industries and Discover Boating.
