National Marina Day has several new partners to help enhance and advertise events that will take place Aug 8.

ValvTect is again offering trophies for marinas to give to their NMD visitor who traveled the farthest to attend the event. Order forms are available on the NMD Web site.

The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation is offering marinas space on its Web site to advertise their events. It also is making available flyers, handouts and posters for its Angler's Legacy, Take Me Fishing and Fishington initiatives, which aim to increase the number of anglers and boaters in the United States. RBFF also offers a Passport to Fishing & Boating program that marinas can use during NMD to teach boating techniques and skills to visitors.

The U.S. Power Squadrons now has a link on the NMD Web site where marinas can find their local Power Squadron chapters and invite these groups to their NMD event to conduct vessel safety checks, promote safe boating, teach seamanship, and advertise their boating classes, among other activities.

Finally, the American Recreation Coalition is listing NMD under its Get Outdoors Day campaign so anyone looking for ways to introduce kids, friends or family members to new outdoor activities will see the NMD site and can find marinas in their area to visit.
