Newport Yacht Management has new owner

Northstar Yacht Sales, of Portsmouth, R.I., acquired Newport Yacht Management in Newport, R.I.

Tom Rowe, who previously ran Newport Yacht Management, is now part of the Northstar team. He will handle retail charter bookings, focusing on the corridor from New England to the Caribbean.

Business will be done as part of the company's Northstar Yacht Charters division.

The announcement from Northstar Yacht Sales also indicates that the company will be seeking to grow the former Newport Yacht Management charter fleet. Northstar is a dealer for Dufour sailing yachts, Southport fishing boats and Buzzards Bay power catamarans.
