Obexer’s first marina on Lake Tahoe with ValvTect fuel

Obexer’s Boat Company in Homewood, Calif., is now carrying ValvTect Marine Gasoline at its docks. That brings the number of certified ValvTect marinas to more than 600.

Obexer’s traces its beginnings to 1911 when Jacob P. Obexer first saw Lake Tahoe. Nearly a century later, Obexer’s continues with Sarah Obexer, the fifth generation of the family, at the helm. The full-service marina has a gas dock, personal watercraft rentals, boat charters, watersports lessons, ramp facilities, Travelift and forklift launching, summer and winter storage, a general store and deli and The Lodge at Obexer’s.

“Obexer’s is a first-class marina offering outstanding services and many amenities,” said Marvin Griffin, president of ValvTect Petroleum Products, in a statement. “We are pleased that local boaters and those traveling to Homewood, CA now have another premier marina to fill-up at with high quality ValvTect Marina Fuels.”

Added Rick Henson, regional sales manager for ValvTect, “Lake Tahoe is very pristine and beautiful lake. Our detergent package will clean the engines, thereby reducing harmful exhaust on the water. Boaters will also enjoy more time on the lake, as their fuel consumption will decrease. It’s a win-win for the boaters and the environment.”
