Rhode Island dealer purchases SailTime franchise

Bluenose Yacht Sales bought the SailTime Group’s Rhode Island franchise. Terms were not disclosed.

Annapolis, Md.-based SailTime sells boat-membership franchises in the United States and Europe.

Headquartered in Newport, R.I., Bluenose Yacht Sales is the largest Jeanneau dealer in New England. The SailTime base and marina will be located in Portsmouth, R.I.

Bluenose represents Beneteau Group's Jeanneau and CNB Bordeaux brands, Saffier Yachts, HH Catamarans and other brands. The company has offices in Newport; Portsmouth; Boston; Noank, Conn.; Annapolis; and Rockport, Maine.

“Bluenose Yacht Sales is one of the most respected names in sailing and power yachting in New England,” Todd Hess, SailTime CEO, said in a statement. “We are incredibly fortunate to have such a powerful brand in this region partnering with us.”
