Southwest Florida Yachts adds 41-footer to charter fleet

Southwest Florida Yachts added an Island Packet 41 Motorsailer, Half Shell, to its charter fleet based at Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral, Fla.

“Half Shell brings the joy of sailing, together with the comforts of a trawler, in a motorsailer design,” Southwest Florida Yachts co-owner Barb Hansen said in a statement. “Her layout features a raised saloon in the doghouse, featuring an L-shaped dinette and two captain’s chairs, master cabin with centerline queen berth, guest cabin with twin bunks, head and full galley.”

Featuring a full keel, the latest Southwest Florida Yachts charter fleet addition has a sloop rig with roller furling on the main and jib sails.

Power comes from a 100-hp Yanmar diesel. The boat features an 8-kilowatt generator, air conditioning refrigeration, an inverter and Raymarine electronics, including autopilot, GPS, wind instruments, radar and a stereo with a CD player.
