Suntex Marine Investors LLC named Bob Hensley as general manager of Kentucky Dam Marina in Gilbertsville, Ky.

Hensley has been in the marina industry for more than 35 years.

For 25 years, he delivered yachts around the world including locationsn such as Italy, France, Croatia, Spain, Australia, South Korea and Russia before deciding to return home.

Hensley moved into marina management and his most recent post was managing Battery Park Marina in Sandusky, Ohio. He is a member of the International Shipmasters Association.

“I am very excited to be able to work with the Suntex management team to help develop the Kentucky Dam property,” Hensley said in a statement. “This location has a dedicated member base that deserves the absolute best customer experience. I have always focused on being a hands-on problem solver and look forward to bringing this set of skills to bear on the extensive updates we have planned for the property.”

The Suntex portfolio of 43 marinas are located in Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Tennessee and Virginia.
