Marinalife said voting is open for its eighth annual Best Marina Contest.

Marinalife said voting is open for its eighth annual Best Marina Contest.

Boaters nationwide are welcome to vote for their favorite marina in two categories: Best Large Marina (over 100 slips) and Best Small Marina (under 100 slips).

Votes can be cast at Marinalife.com/MarinaContest. The contest ends Oct. 1.

“The Best Marina Contest gives boaters a chance to vote for the marinas that consistently provide excellent customer service and deliver a quality experience. We are excited to start seeing the votes come in for this year’s contest and to reward the winning marinas,” Marinalife president and CEO Joy McPeters said in a statement.

The 2016 Best Large Marina winner was Orange Beach Marina in Orange Beach, Ala. Second place went to Green Turtle Bay Marina & Resort in Grand Rivers, Ky., and third place went to Wentworth by the Sea Marina in New Castle, N.H.

The Best Small Marina winner was Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Md. Second place went to Harbour Town Yacht Basin in Hilton Head, S.C., and third place went to South Jersey Marina in Cape May, N.J.

Marinalife encouraged marinas to promote the Best Marina Contest to valued customers and boaters that frequent their marina.
