West Marine will hold a new product review day July 11 at the company’s Watsonville, Calif., support center.

This event allows prospective vendors — from large to start-ups — to pitch their products to West Marine's retail management team for an opportunity to sell at the company’s 369 retail stores as well as its Web site, catalogs and wholesale distribution company.

The Go Bike, a travel bike that folds in 15 seconds, was first introduced to West Marine through a previous product review day. West Marine says the Go Bike is now one of its most popular products, which it carries exclusively at retail stores in the United States.

"We look forward to finding the next hot boating or fishing-related invention,” said Ron Japinga, executive vice president of merchandising at West Marine, in a statement.
