West Marine hosts grand-opening events next week

West Marine said it will celebrate the grand openings of its newer, larger stores in Woodbridge, N.J., and Apollo Beach and Spring Hill, Fla., with a “Day of Fun” at select East Coast locations on March 18.

The company said the East Coast event stores will host attractions between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. that include complimentary food and refreshments, on-site vendors, product demos, prizes and giveaways from brands such as Roxy and Starbrite.

West Marine store specialists will be available to answer customers’ questions about products that include marine electronics; SUPs and kayaks; fishing gear; apparel, footwear and accessories; and all core boating items.

The event store locations are West Islip, N.Y.; Newport, R.I.; Brick, N.J.; Old Saybrook, Conn.; Woburn, Mass.; Virginia Beach, Va.; and Braintree, Mass.
