West Marine rolls out calendar-photo contest

West Marine’s 2016 West Advantage Calendar Photo Contest is underway and the waterlife outfitter said 13 talented photographers will see images of their life on the water featured in the 2016 calendar.

Each of them also will win $100 West Marine gift certificates.

Contest entry registration opened July 1, and it closes on July 31. Entry is free and is open to West Marine West Advantage members. (Consumers can sign up to become a West Advantage member at www.westmarine.com/westadvantage.

The company said the photos should capture the beauty and enjoyment of life on the water in an outdoor setting. Entrants are encouraged to send in photos of themselves, friends and family enjoying boating, snorkeling, kayaking and just relaxing by the seaside.

Entrants should seek permission from any people featured. Photos will be judged on quality, setting, context and appropriateness for calendar use and compliance with contest rules.

Complete rules and entry form are available at www.westmarine.com/sweepstakes. As many as three entries can be submitted.

Photos must be 12-inch-square, 300 dpi images submitted to photocontest@westmarine.com, accompanied by an official registration form.
