West Marine schedules grand opening in New Hampshire


West Marine will hold a grand-opening celebration July 20-22 at its newest location in Seabrook, N.H.

The new store is at 337 Lafayette Road, and grand-opening events will take place from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on July 20 and 21, and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 22.

The store will have 13,000 square feet, with an expansive selection of marine electronics to touch and test, inflatable boats, kayaks and outboard motors and a full engine parts counter staffed by specialists. Sailing gear, boating supplies, casual and technical apparel, shoes, sunglasses and accessories also will be sold.

“The new Seabrook West Marine is staffed with passionate boaters, anglers and sailors,” store manager Mark McDevitt said in a statement. “Our goal is to help every customer really enjoy their boat, whether they are going to Jeffreys Ledge, the Isles of Shoals or Lake Winnipesaukee.”

West Marine is the largest specialty retailer of boating supplies and accessories. It has more than 310 company-owned stores in 38 states, Puerto Rico and Canada and three franchised stores in Turkey.
