West Marine to open new Florida location
West Marine is celebrating the grand opening of its new store Dec. 5-6 in Marathon, Fla.
The doors will open at 8 a.m. and there will be gifts and prize giveaways, including $100 West Marine gift cards, Garmin nuvi 200W GPS and more. Five percent of sales made on Dec. 5 will be donated to Turtle Hospital, a non-profit organization that has treated and released more than 1,000 sea turtles since its inception.
The new store is next door to the old location but, at 10,000 square feet, it's twice the size of the original store. It employs more than 18 associates with collectively more than160 years of boating experience.
The Raymarine Mobile Showroom will also be on site doing electronic demonstrations, as well as representatives from SPOT, ICOM, Navionics, Marathon Boat Yard, Sea Air Land Technologies and Seamark Electronics.
