West Marine to open new store in Seattle

West Marine will hold a grand opening celebration Sept. 26-27 for its premier store in the Pacific Northwest, located in downtown Seattle.

The celebration will feature contests, prize giveaways and informative clinics by industry veterans. Volunteers from the Disabled Americans Veterans' local Seattle chapter will be on hand with refreshments while supplies last.

The new Westlake West Marine offers 18,000 square feet of space filled with boating supplies and accessories, including electrical, maintenance, plumbing, sailboat hardware and technical apparel. There is also an assortment of the latest electronics with 85 working displays, a parts counter stocked with engine and boat parts, and a full rigging shop.

For boating businesses, the Westlake store serves as a regional hub for Port Supply, West Marine's wholesale division, and offers professional captain's services.
