The International Council of Marine Industry Associations added keynote speaker Adjiedj Bakas to its lineup for World Marinas Conference 2016, which will be held Nov. 17-19 at RAI Amsterdam.
With this year’s theme, “Future of Marinas in a Changing World,” in mind, organizers said more than 40 experts will present their views. Bakas will share a vision that organizers call “somewhat provocative, but always positive" on the world and future developments.
“The leading light in ensuring successful future developments of marina facilities around the globe, ICOMIA World Marinas Conference is the initiative of the ICOMIA Marina Group’s outreach and support program,” ICOMIA president Jouko Huju said in a statement.
“This year, our dedicated contents committee, consisting of key members from IMG, HISWA and RAI Amsterdam, has focused on securing a host of innovative expert speakers from across the globe. They will lead delegates in dialogue and debate — hoping to spark real conversation and generate new ideas on topics and themes relevant to the international marina industry.”
The speakers will include Gary Groenewold, of Westrec Marinas; Elio Ciralli, of Envitek; Carol Fulford, of Marina World; and Kenny Jones, of IGY Marinas.
The World Marinas Conference will be held adjacent to METS Trade, which is scheduled for Nov. 15-17.
