World marinas conference sets agenda for November event
The International Council of Marine Industry Associations World Marinas Conference 2016 will take place from Nov. 17-19, overlapping the Nov. 15-17 METS Trade Show at RAI Amsterdam.
The conference will include topics, speakers and events under the theme: The Future of Marinas in a Changing World.
Highlights include marina development — new ideas/trends and the refurbishment of aged marinas; regulations — water planning regimes and zones, concessions and financing, environmental legislation; management and operations (innovative solutions, staffing and training, marketing and customer care); and cooperation between the public and private sectors.
In addition to a range of country pavilions, METS Trade Show features three thematic pavilions that represent smaller self-contained shows within the larger concept. One of these is the Marina & Yard Pavilion.
The ICOMIA conference will be organized in the Amtrium complex, and the Marina & Yard Pavilion will be in the adjacent Hall 5.
