2020 Neptune Award Winners Named

The annual marketing awards drew 129 entries in 20 categories.

The Marine Marketers of America announced the winners of its 2020 Neptune Awards for Marine Marketing Excellence.

The annual award competition drew 129 entries in 20 categories, and more than 70 marketing professionals served as judges.

“It was clear from the variety and creativity of work submitted this year that companies were rethinking how they communicated and interacted with boaters in 2020 to accommodate the new ways of doing business in a socially distanced world,” MMA president Courtney Chalmers said in a statement.

The video production category had the most entries this year, with Invincible Boats taking top honors for Best Single Video for “When You’re Serious” and Jarrett Bay Boatworks earning Best Video Series for its “Insider Vlog.”

A new category for pandemic marketing attracted nine entries, with the top spot going to Sea Tow for its “Social Distancing When Boating” campaign.

The King Neptune Best-in-Competition Award went to Sportsman Boats for its website, scoring high marks with the judges for its brand awareness and interfaces with customers and dealers.

“Sportsman set the bar with this website,” commented one judge. Another noted it was “really impressive work for an in-house agency.”
