Florida-based sales and charter firm 26 North Yachts has added a second location with the opening of a waterfront base in Newport, R.I.

With its headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., 26 North Yachts now can serve a wider East Coast footprint, the company said in a statement. Sales associate Bill Powers will lead the Newport office.

"We’ve exceeded $1 billion in sales and are positioned for national growth, and Bill Powers is the perfect person to lead this new location.”
